Applicable to: https://primedetectionrenovation.com/
This addendum supplements our Privacy Policy and explains how Prime Detection and Renovation (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you communicate with us via SMS (text messaging).
By opting into SMS communications from us, you agree to the data practices described below.
1. What Information We Collect via SMS
When you opt in to receive text messages from us, we may collect:
- Your mobile phone number
- Date and time of opt-in (consent record)
- Message content (including any replies such as HELP or STOP)
- Delivery and response status (e.g., whether a message was delivered or read)
- Your carrier name (automatically provided by wireless carriers)
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (e.g., health data, social security numbers) via SMS.
2. How We Use Your SMS Information
We use your mobile number and SMS-related data solely for the following purposes:
- To send you appointment reminders, service updates, estimates, promotional offers, and customer support communications that you explicitly requested.
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g., maintaining a record of your opt-in consent as required by telecommunications regulations).
- To process your opt-out requests (STOP commands) and help requests (HELP commands).
- To improve our customer service (e.g., response times, message clarity).
We do not sell, rent, or lease your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in status to any third party for their own marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We may share your mobile phone number and message metadata with trusted third-party service providers that help us deliver SMS messages, such as:
- Phone.com (or our designated SMS platform provider)
- Mobile carrier networks (for message transmission)
These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than facilitating SMS delivery on our behalf. They are also required to maintain appropriate security measures.
4. Data Retention for SMS Communications
We retain:
- Opt-in consent records for as long as you remain subscribed to our SMS communications, plus a reasonable period afterward (typically 1–2 years) to document compliance with legal requirements.
- Message content for up to 12 months, unless a longer retention period is required by law or needed for dispute resolution.
- Opt-out requests (STOP commands) indefinitely to ensure you are not contacted again.
You may request deletion of your SMS-related data by contacting us, but note that we may need to retain opt-out records to honor your request not to receive future messages.
5. Your Choices and Rights
Opt-Out (Stop Receiving Messages)
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by texting STOP in reply to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send one final confirmation message and cease all future texts.
